MEET THE TEAM
MEET TAYLOR
Hi, I'm Taylor. I'm mama of two and wife to my quirky, kind, and supportive husband, Andy. After the birth of our daughter in 2016, I experienced many common postpartum challenges in addition to overwhelming societal pressure to get my daughter to sleep through the night. I felt increasingly anxious and depressed as my days were spent trying to no avail to get my infant on a breastfeeding & sleeping schedule. I failed daily at putting my daughter down "drowsy, but not asleep" in attempts to get her to self-soothe. Meanwhile, I developed a passion for helping mothers through their postpartum challenges, and I began learning all that I could about postpartum recovery. My world was rocked when I was exposed to the wonderful work of Dr. James McKenna and other pro-attachment and breastfeeding experts. My motherhood journey changed for the better when I began to understand that I can and should trust my maternal instincts.

My educational background includes a B.S. in Kinesiology with a minor in Psychology from Texas A&M University, and a Master of Occupational Therapy from Texas Woman’s University. My unique occupational therapy training provides me with expertise in sleep hygiene, infant development, routines, movement & biomechanics, pain prevention, ergonomics, and mental health. Additionally, I have specialized training in pelvic health, breastfeeding, and perinatal health, and I have completed Postpartum Support International’s Two-Day Certification of Completion Program in Perinatal Mood Disorders: Components of Care. I combine all of this training to comprehensively and holistically help the entire family thrive. I am also certified as a Baby-Led Sleep & Well-being Specialist, and I help support babies and families to get more sleep through relationships and connection, without any sleep training. My personal interests include natural birth & parenting, nutrition, and toxin-free living. Through this ongoing educational journey, I have increasingly felt empowered as a woman and mother to trust my body and instincts, and my passion is to help other mothers to feel the same.
